The house

A bright, well-kept semi-detached house on a quiet residential street in Castillo del Romeral, one of the most likeable coastal villages in the south of Gran Canaria.

It was built for comfort, privacy and everyday life in a place where the weather barely changes. The layout is generous, the light is good, and the extras are the kind you actually use.

You arrive through a low-maintenance outdoor area with a private barrel sauna — a genuine corner for unwinding.

Ground floor

A large, light-filled living room, as suited to an ordinary evening as to a table full of friends. Wide glazed doors open onto the gym and jacuzzi, so inside and outside run into one another.

The same floor holds a versatile room that works as a bedroom, a study, a playroom or storage, together with a full bathroom with shower and a well-equipped kitchen.

The kitchen opens straight onto the covered patio: a sheltered barbecue, a sitting area and a bar, built for the climate of the south of the island and usable all year.

Upstairs

The main bedrooms and the second full bathroom are on the upper floor. The principal bedroom is a good size and has its own balcony — a quiet place for fresh air and a look over the neighbourhood.

The third bedroom takes easily to being a child's room, a guest room or an office. There is also a fitted dressing room with made-to-measure storage, and more storage under the stairs.

Comfort and extras

Photovoltaic panels, a charging point for an electric car, air conditioning and marble floors throughout. The house is let furnished, as shown in the photographs, for short and medium-term stays.

The village

This is the pleasant end of Castillo del Romeral, a few steps from the sea and from the natural rock pools the village is known for, which are swimmable all year.

It keeps the calm of a real coastal village while having everything within walking distance: supermarkets, a pharmacy, restaurants, cafés, sports facilities and a seafront promenade for walking, running, or sitting still in front of the ocean.
